    With Love, Claudia

Welcome back y’all! Alright so we are a few days away from Mothers Day and as a Mexican American I grew up celebrating two Mothers Day. In Mexico, Mothers Day is celebrated on May 10th, today! To celebrate, I decided to make today’s post a tribute to my grandmother. My grandmother passed away when I was about five or six, but I have always felt a really deep connection to her. I attribute all of my talents, goals, and dreams to her. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that creating clothing would be what I wanted to do for the rest of my life but as I…

    Will Travel for Food

Happy hump day y’all and welcome to the second day of May!! I hope you are all having a great week and enjoying life, I know I am! Today’s post is all about food, Mexican food that is. Sadly, South Carolina lacks in good Mexican food, every restaurant legit has exactly the same menu and they’re not even owned by the same person. It is so sad. Not to mention that a majority of the items on every menu aren’t even Mexican and everything has queso on it. I never knew queso existed until I got here and realized it’s slathered on almost every dish. But I digress. My deep…

    Twenty Six

Welcome back y’all! It is officially the last day of April and seriously, where does the time go? Anyway, I celebrated my twenty sixth birthday last Wednesday and was pretty stoked. I am not one to dwell on the fact that I am getting older and am reaching my thirties because well, life is short and you just have to appreciate it for what it is, a gift. And dude, come on, twenty six is like a baby’s age. Now, when asked what my favorite color is I always give two responses: pink and tie-dye! Yes, tie-dye. Tie-dye is more than just a technique to me it is an expression…

    Sophisticated Yet Seductive Scents

A new week full of possibilities and a new updated look! Happy Monday everyone! I am so excited to be back on my blogging game and decided that the best way to celebrate is through a sweet smelling post, if only you could actually transmit smell through the internet. Coco Chanel was once asked where one should apply perfume and her response was ladylike yet seductive, “where you want to be kissed.” I personally love wearing perfume and always apply two spritz right below my jawbone in the morning and at night and even spritz my clothes once a week. It is the best way to not only smell great…

    Practice Makes (Almost) Perfect

They say “practice makes perfect” and while I don’t consider myself to be close to perfect, I will say that practice has helped me get that much closer. Last weekend I decided to embark on a project that has been quite daunting to me for the past few years. When I first started sewing I was very ambitious and would take on crazy sewing projects. Of course, because I was still learning and for the most part learning on my own, many of those sewing projects did not come out great. I never let that stop me.  As time went on I continued to sew but, focused on perfecting what…

    The Benefits of Customization

Something that I have been completely obsessed with, since learning how to sew, is customizing my clothing to represent my style and personality. One of my favorite ways to do just that is to add patches and embroidery to clothing, such as jackets. I decided to take a camo jacket that I have had for a few years and add a variety of patches to it. Each patch represents me and some patches are handmade by me and a couple that I purchased through an online store called Hellbound. What I really like about this process is that I control what goes on the jacket and where. Aside from that,…

    Remember the Lessons

I hope y’all are enjoying our last week of March, it seems like it came and went so fast! But I am excited because April is my birthday month and I 26 is going to be a great year, I can feel it. In a past post, I shared with you all what I considered to be the hardest part of wanting to be an entrepreneur thus far; a very personal view and sentiment. Today I wanted to share with you all one of the biggest mistakes I have made that I am more than ready to let go of. In life we all make mistakes, it’s just human nature…

    For. Eh. Ver.

I don’t know exactly when the love for the game started but what I do know is that it was infectious and has been my ultimate love ever since. One of the things that I will be missing most about California this year is Dodgers Stadium. I grew up in this stadium and it was one of those places that just made life better. Over the years each baseball game added to my ever-growing collection og game day tickets. Baseball has played such a huge part of my life since I can remember! I would say that some of my best and most fondest memories were made both on and…

    Off The Wall

Welcome back everyone and happy hump day!!! Alright, so today I wanted to share a wish list with you all that is more of an ode to my style than just a simple wish list. If there is one item, or items, that I am obsessed with… it would have to be sneakers. However, when I go about purchasing sneakers I ALWAYS buy the same two brands. This brand, however, is my all time favorite! Vans are just an over all dope shoe brand created in 1966 in Southern California, my home state! Aside from all of that, their shoes are just comfy, the designs are rad, and there’s a…

    Inspiration Explosion, Pt. 2

Alright everyone, if y’all tuned in last week and read my Inspiration Explosion post welcome to part two! If you didn’t catch it, well, what are you waiting for?! Anyway, last week I discussed the process and benefits of creative practices like this one. My favorite thing about this practice is that it encourages me to let go of control and not over think the process. One of the hardest things about the creative process is that there is always an underlying habit of comparing what you are doing to what is popular and what works; it is easy to lose sense of who you are and what sets you…
