My 6 Favorites from NYFW

Hey everyone!

All month long I have been logging in to one of my favorite apps, Vogue Runway. This app is amazing, it displays every look from every fashion show right after they are presented! I love looking through each designers show, looking at their designs from past seasons, and reading the reviews for each of my favorites. What I love even more is that you can bookmark the shows you like and the looks you love. So, all weekend long I looked through the fashion shows that have been presented, thus far, and bookmarked six of my favorites.

  1. Rachel Zoe
As far as style icons go, Rachel Zoe is definitely in my top 2. I just love her rock n roll glam, a style I am obsessed with and want to embody. I loved the metallic, plush velvet, and rich jewel tones that were present throughout her collection. The menswear inspired silhouettes are some of my favorites, I have always found these silhouettes to bring a subtle flare of sexiness at all times.
  2. Alice + Olivia
Stacey Bendet is one of my favorites to watch during fashion week and all year round. Her style embodies everything I love and this collection brought an edginess that I so often crave. Her collection was rebellious and bold with a bit of rock n roll, again, one of my weaknesses. The mixtures of plaid, leather, sequin, leopard, and floral are what captivated me and the political stance her collection represented was so inspiring.
  3. Cinq à Sept
This collection was like reading a romantic love letter and every piece of clothing you could imagine yourself wearing while reading it. There were beautiful lush velvet suits, silk blouses, corduroy suits, ruffled work wear to die for, color blocked dresses, floral pieces, and sequined slips all producing a feeling of intimacy. Every piece just as beautiful as the next.
  4. Veronica Beard
Veronica Beard is the designer I always dreamed about! Her collection for RTW Fall 2018 was jaw dropping and stunning. The feel of 80s Western with a dash of 70s was all over this collection; a collection that speaks right to my heart and like Rachel Zoe’s collection, it is everything I crave to embody. Glamorous piping accented silk buttoned shirts and dresses, rhinestones embellished beautiful belts, perfectly designed ruched mini dresses, and stunning menswear fabric brought to life a style that is timeless.
  5. Monse
Monse brought forth an amazing three minute carnival themed video starring Erin Wasson featuring a voice over by Nicki Minaj. The collection was casual and 50s inspired. It included men’s blazers and cardigans paired with jeans. There were beautifully made blouses covered in old pattern prints combined with plaid and classic trench coats and amazing brown paper bag and flour sack bags to accessorize the looks.
  6. Holly Fulton
Holly Fulton’s collection this season was full of color and whimsical motifs. The overall style reminded me of the 60s and 70s with beautiful wool shift dresses and jackets. The prints included in some of the pieces were inspired by the Empire State building and cheetah prints. This collection brings the amount of color and confidence a women needs as nature begins to transition in the fall.

Hope you all enjoyed looking at some of my favorite looks and shows from New York Fashion Week. Let me know which shows you have liked and which designers you love.
